La Gomera

La Gomera is one of seven main islands in the Canary Islands (Spain). It is located in the Atlantic Ocean in the western province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The capital is San Sebastian de la Gomera, where the headquarters Cabildo Insular (Island Government).

  

La Gomera, just like the rest of the Canary Islands is a volcanic island. However recent volcanic episodes of the past can be considered the last eruption took place two million years ago. An example of this protected natural area is in northern of island.

Valle Gran Rey or in translation, "Valley of the great king", is the biggest tourist center on La Gomera, consisting of a series of seaside villages (La Calera, La Playa, La Puntilla and Vueltas).

Playa de Santiago

Playa de Santiago is the most important and busiest tourist center on the island. Visitors come here attracted mostly sunny and pleasant weather. Sun is far from the only attraction of the area - await you here and full of animation clubs, hotels and restaurants, water slides and a very pleasant atmosphere.

Beaches are here mainly with stones, great for fans of transparent waves.
